Things are finally looking up for dancehall entertainer, Vybz Kartel. His lawyer, Tom Tavares-Finson, has shared that the transcripts for his appeal are ready to go.

Finson stated: “The transcripts have been reviewed, and we were told that they have been copying and numbering the pages over the last couple of months. As you can well imagine, it is a couple of boxes of transcripts, but we have been informed that within the next week, it will be finished and Vybz Kartel will receive it, and then he can instruct his legal team, whosoever he chooses, to act and start the appeal process.”

Sources Say Vybz Kartel Isn’t Doing Well In Prison

Back in 2014 Vybz Kartel was found guilty of murder and sentenced to 35 years before being considered for parole. Word on the street is that things look promising for Kartel. Due to the tampering of evidence and intimidation of witnesses, his case may be overturned.

Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, and the others that were all convicted with him, stick by their innocence.   We will have to see what happens here. When we learn of anything new in relation to this case, we will be sure to update you.

Kartel is due to release a brand new album next month entitled, King of the Dancehall.
