On the latest episode of ABC’s “Black-ish,” Anthony Anderson does a brutally honest yet moving monologue about having hope in this hateful world.
Dre, played by Anthony Anderson, is standing in his livingroom explaining to his wife how his kids would be referred to if they were arrested.
Even though this may look like an ordinary conversation a husband is having with his wife, the message runs deeper than that.
Names like Freddie Gray and Sandra Bland were mentioned, which have greatly impacted the African American community in just the past year.
It is really awesome to see the network give the writers/producers of “Black-ish” a little bit of leeway to speak of real issues happening to Blacks today.
Let’s hear it for Anthony Anderson, the cast & crew of “Black-ish” AND ABC.
Check out the entire clip if you missed it on the episode.
