Netflix Documentary Series Investigates Unresolved Attack on Bob Marley

On October 12th, Netflix is launching a new documentary series which investigates some of music’s unresolved mysteries.”ReMastered” is expected to offer a fresh and insightful perspective on high-profile events, relating to prominent figures in music.

The eight-part series will stream monthly and seeks to unearth answers in each episode.  The premiere will delve into the 1976 attempted assassination of late Reggae legend, Bob Marley.  The shooting occurred in Jamaica at Marley’s Kingston mansion, just days before his performance at ‘Smile Jamaica’ peace concert. The singer was wounded, but survived the attack and he was able to perform at the concert as scheduled.

The premiere episode of “ReMastered” is titled “Who Shot the Sheriff?” and includes interviews with former Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga and legendary musician Jimmy Cliff.  Later episodes will focus on Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, Jam Master J (Run-DMC) and more.  Watch the trailer for ‘ReMastered: Who Shot the Sheriff?’ below:
