Cops Shut Down Block Of Kanye West Pop-Up Shop

Saturday, 19 March 2016

Kanye West is always finding ways to get his product in our hands. This time he launched a pop-up shop in New York City just yesterday to introduce The Life of Pablo clothing collection.

The purpose of a pop-up shop or “flash retailing,” is to make a short-term sales space available for customers to purchase your items.  It gives the consumer, in a specific city or area, the chance to see your products in person other than online.  Or it gives the customer the opportunity to purchase your product when it normally wouldn’t be available in their area. This is a great sales approach, especially if you can afford to do this.  Other celebrities like Future have also done pop-up shops in the past.

TMZ is reporting that the turnout was so ridiculous that the line actually wrapped around the block causing the cops to shut down the entire area. Kanye West fans swarmed the SoHo area shop to get a piece of Kanye’s TLOP collection.

Some of these pieces include Donda West & Robert Kardashian Sr. t-shirts, which retail for $45 each. In addition, Kanye has included hoodies, bomber jackets, and more. The items range from $45 – $400.

PLOT TWIST: Word on the street is that all customers have a 2 item limit.  Kanye, you should’ve had more merchandise available for purchase.  You know people love you, come on.  That’s not fair.

If you are in the New York City area the shop will be open until tomorrow (3/20) and is located at 83 Wooster in the SoHo area of Manhattan.
