Not only has Ben Carson decided to drop out of the presidential race but he is now endorsing Donald Trump.  This endorsement was finalized today when Carson met up with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, one of the lavish clubs that he owns. This was supposed to be a private meeting but somehow everyone has been made aware that it happened anyway.

Representatives from both Carson and Trump have not confirmed that the two met nor that the endorsement is actually taking place.

The Washington Post is reporting that this endorsement will help Trump out with GOP base voters and evangelicals that were Team Carson from the very beginning.

PLOT TWIST: Just a few short months ago, didn’t Trump heavily criticize Carson in a 95-minute tirade?

Donald Trump told Iowa’s voters that those who were in support of Ben Carson were just plain ole “stupid” if they believed the “crap” that he claims to be his life story.

If you don’t remember, Trump ridiculed what Carson described as a life changing event in his life. Carson had explained that when he was a young boy he tried to stab someone only to fail miserably by having the knife break from a belt buckle.

Trump told the crowd: “So I have a belt: Somebody hits me with a belt, it’s going in because the belt moves this way. It moves this way, it moves that way. He hit the belt buckle. Anybody have a knife? Want to try it on me? Believe me, it ain’t gonna work. You’re going to be successful, but he took the knife and went like this and he plunged it into the belt and, amazing, the belt stayed totally flat and the knife broke.”

What a way to make a mockery of what someone considers to have changed their life.

In a recent interview with Fox News Radio, Carson said: “There’s two Donald Trumps. There’s the Donald Trump that you see on television and who gets out in front of big audiences, and there’s the Donald Trump behind the scenes. They’re not the same person. One’s very much an entertainer, and one is actually a thinking individual.”

This definitely comes as a surprise but have you ever heard of the saying “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em?”
